The Chauncy W. Rhees Home was constructed in 1904. The exterior was frame on a rock foundation.  The four-room interior walls were insulated with brick made in the Pleasant View Brickyard. In 1910 the east gable was added.  Mr. Rhees was a prosperous sheep rancher and horticulturist.  He was also a talented musician and director of the Pleasant View Band.  The home is currently occupied by Chauncey’s Granddaughter, Beth, and her husband.
