Earl Budge Cragun Studies

Earl Budge Cragun conducted what he called “A Type Study of Community Backgrounds for Education of Pleasant View, Weber County, Utah” (Volume I). This “Volume I” was for his Master of Science Thesis for Utah State Agricultural College in 1953. The Volume I was subsequently re-printed twice, the last time in 1989 (Volume I).

Earl also published what he titled, “A Type Study of Community Backgrounds for Education of Pleasant View, Weber County, UtahA Supplementary Volume,” dated 1953 (Volume II).

Finally, Earl added the “Historical Pleasant View Supplementary Volume II, An Addenda to the Original Supplementary Volume I” in 1989 (Volume III).

All three volumes and an accompanying map of Pleasant View are provided to you below, in order of their publication.  A copy of the map which accompanied the volumes is hard to read. A better and interactive of this map is found on the front page of this web site.
